ANNOUNCEMENTS
COMMENCEMENT-Saturday, December 20, 9:00 a.m. Edmunds Center. The faculty line of march will form at
8:30 a.m., in the west downstairs corridor of the Edmunds Center. All faculty are encouraged to march. We have
three academic gowns available in the Office of Academic Affairs for the first three faculty requesting them. The
Speaker for this Commencement is Dr. Betty Thorne, 1997 recipient of the McEniry Award for the Teaching
Excellence. A reception following the ceremony will be held in the Stetson Room. The line-of-march is attached

The Faculty Women's Caucus will meet Monday, December 15, 11:15 - 12:45 p.m. at Boston Gourmet
Coffeehouse, 109 East New York Avenue. We will make a collection for the Volusia County Domestic Abuse
Council. For more information about this project, or to place an item on the agenda, call or e-mail Mary Pollock

REMINDER-DECEMBER PAYROLL. In keeping with tradition, the monthly (exempt) payroll will be issued on Friday,
December 19, 1997. Please submit any payroll changes (i.e. withholding, etc.) for salaried employees to the
Human Resources Office by 12:00 noon. December 15, 1997 and submit all monthly calendars by 12:00 noon,
December 15, 1997 to the Finance Office.
The biweekly payroll will be issued on Tuesday, December 23, 1997. Please submit all time cards for biweekly
payroll employees (hourly payroll employees) to the Finance Office by 12:00 noon, December 17, 1997. You will
need to estimate the hours you are going to work on December 18 and 19.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to process time cards reaching us after this time. If you are nearing one of the
deadlines, please hand deliver your calendars and time cards. Thank you.
