Dan Gunderson Exhibition: A Work in
Progress: Twenty Years at Stetson
ANNOUNCEMENTS
UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEETING-Noon--Friday, September 6, Rinker Auditorium, Davis Hall. President Doug Lee
will share the President Staff's Agenda for 1996-97 and the workshop draft on Stetson University Shared Vision
which resulted from the recent PITF/Faculty Meeting. These documents were attached in last week's edition of

The Duncan Gallery season opens with Dan Gunderson's A Work in Progress: Twenty Years at Stetson, a
retrospective exhibition including pieces indicative of the development of the artist's distinct abstract geometric
style. Opening reception is today, Friday, September 6, 6-8 p.m. A brand-new Art Department T-shirt featuring
Gunderson's work will be on sale at the opening. The exhibition continues through October 20. Mr. Gunderson
will also give a lecture on Thursday, September 19, 9:30 a.m. in the Library, 5L.

REMINDER-FREIBURG EXCHANGES. As most faculty know, in addition to the traditional one-semester or one-year
faculty exchange between Stetson and Paedagogische Hochschule in Freiburg, there are one-month exchanges.
The Stetson faculty member goes to Freiburg for the month of June, and the Paedagogische Hochschule faculty
member comes here in March or September. Stetson pays for the round trip transportation (Orlando-Freiburg) and
an apartment in Freiburg is provided at the Paedagogische Hochschule. The faculty member takes care of all
additional expenses. Anyone interested should contact the Office of International Exchange for further information
and an application. Application Deadline: November 1, 1996.
STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS. Faculty, please advise your students that the deadline for Study Abroad Programs
participation for the Spring Semester of the Academic Year 1996-97 is October 1, 1996. The Office of
International Exchange and Off-Campus Programs is located in the International House, 207 1/2 East Michigan
Avenue.
OFF-CAMPUS TRIPS. Faculty, if you are planning an Off-Campus trip, please notify the Office of International
Exchange as soon as possible. A copy of university guidelines will be sent to you. A proposal of the trip must
be sent by the end of the first month of the semester preceding the trip to the University Committee on
International and Off-Campus Programs for approval and verification concerning technical details. This should show
budget, itinerary (air and ground transportation, cities and places), and any other relevant information. Please mail
to Campus Box 8412. All Directors of new trips will make a presentation to the International Committee, the
university committee that oversees and approves off-campus trips.
