the STETSON "WEEKLY TIETJS LETTER will appear for the purpose of keeping you informed about what's going on this summer at Stetson. If there is anything you
would like to know or anything you would like to tell others about, just drop
in at the Publicity Office and perhaps we can be of service through the. News
Letter.

"The greatest summer school in the history of Stetson" - President W. S«
Allen in these v/ords expressed the unanimous opinion of University officials
regarding the 1938 or sixth summer term. The official registration total up
until 4 p»nu yesterday reached a new high at 275« which shatters last year's
record of 256 for the entire term, including both periods in the law school.
Stetson summer sessions have grown steadily since the first one in 1933 with "
70 students. In 1934 there were 127; 1935, 170; 1936, 254; and 1937, 256.

Many of you are familiar with Stetson's traditional "twilight hour" plan
of weekly entertainment, and if so, will remember the good times you've had in
previous years. This year, as in other years, the president's reception is on
the calendar for the first twilight hour.
President and Mrs. Allen extend to all faculty members, their wives and
husbands, and all students of the summer session, a cordial invitation to attend a reception in Chaudoin Hall from 7:30 to 8:30 this evening, Thursday,
June 16.

Prom the registrar's office.come these important announcementss All students who expect to receive a degree or a diploma at the August commencement
must sign an application blank for same in the registrar's office by Monday,
June 20th, If students applying for degrees this summer have not had the registrar check their records to see if they can meet all requirements, they should,
see her at once.
All students who wish to have their certificates extended by their attendance in summer school must apply for tYiis extension in the registrar's office
by Monday, June 20th.
