MRS. OHSE ERIKSEN DAVIS WILL
GIVE VOCAL RECITAL TUESDAY
The Stetson school of music
will present Mrs. Ohse Eriksen
Davis, soprano, in senior recital next Tuesday evening at
7:30 o'clock in Elisabeth Hall
auditorium.
All Stetsonites are cordially
invited to attend, Dr. W, E.
Duckwitz, director of the school
of music, announced today.
Mrs. Davis has been prominently Identified with public
school music throughout the
state. She was music supervisor
in eastern Marion County last
year and formerly taught in Umatilla,
She has charge of the music
in the three upper grades of the
Stetson demonstration school
this summer and is directing a
rhythm band of grade school
youngsters in connection v/ith
her work there.
Mrs. Davis has chosen a program of selections for her recital Tuesday designed to appeal
to the most varied musical
tastes. Outstanding will be the
Grieg numbers v/hich she will
sing in her native Norwegian
tongue.
Miss Veronica Davis, Stetson
public school music instructor,
will play the piano accompaniments for the soloist.

VISITORS THROUGH LITTLE THEATRE

In response to several requests by Stetson students, Dr,
Irving C. Stover, head of the
speech department, has consented
to be "at home" in the Little
Theatre from 7 to 7:30 Monday
evening to show all those who
would like to come through the
dramatics plant.
DEMONSTRATION SCHOOL HOLDS
FINAL EXHIBIT THIS MORNING
AT BOSTON AVENUE BUILDING
Series of Programs Culminating
Summer Studies Will Be

The Stetson demonstration
school is holding its closing
exhibit this morning from 8:30
to 11:30 in the Boston Avenue
school building.
Any one who is interested in
seeing the displays of the work
done by the children during the
six-weeks' period or in watching
the little programs which they
have worked out in their study
units in the various grades has
been cordially invited to attend
the exhibit by the demonstration
school director, Mrs. Sue Burns,
A playlet on community life
by the first grade will begin
the programs, followed by an Indian dramatization by second
graders. From 9:30 to 10, the
primary rhythm band, properly
costumed for the occasion, will
give a concert.
Third grade children will
dramatize some phase of Seminole
Indian history, while the fourth
grade, with apologies to Earl
Brown and Grover Whalen, will,
hold a Florida exhibit. Visitors can find their way into
this room by means of the Trylon
and Perisphere.
"When knighthood was in
flower" will be the theme of the
dramatization by fifth and sixth
graders and will include an original song. Another rhythm band,
under Mrs. Ohse Eriksen Davis,,
will give a program from 10:30
to 11.
The one act plays, announced
previously as a twilight hour attraction for this evening, have
been cancelled.
