UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEETING-Monday. August 28, 4:00 p.m., Rinker Auditorium. Presentations will include:
Planning Document Update, Academic Program Differentiation, Enrollment Demographics, 1995-96 Recruitment
Plan, and Five-Year Budget. Refreshments will be served. From: Gene Lubot, Provost
ALL-CAMPUS STAFF MEETING-Tuesday, August 29, 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. in the Stetson Room of the Carlton Union
Building. Coffee, juice, and refreshments will be served, beginning at 7:30 a.m., and the meeting should conclude
by 9:00 a.m. All staff members are urged to attend and faculty members are welcome.

LIVE in Elizabeth Hall, August 29, 7:30 p.m. Three Music School faculty will be featured in the first concert of
the Fall 1995 Music School concert series. Cellist David Bjella and pianist Michael Rickman will perform a Bach
gamba sonata and Brahms' Sonata in F Major. David will also play AdoIIq and Daphne, an unaccompanied work
for cello written by Stetson composer Kari Juusela. This composition won the Composers' Guild Competition in
Utah in 1990. Apollo and Daphne is an exciting solo piece for cello with many fast, jazz-like rhythms.
PLEASE NOTE the new time (7:30 p.m.) for all Music School evening recitals and concerts. We hope that by
starting earlier and keeping our concerts to a "We want to hear more" length, you will want to choose several
music events to enjoy with your kids. We will announce upcoming performances in this spot each week, and you
can pick up around campus our Concert Book Mark listing the entire fall concert schedule.

Cross-listing courses with Women and Gender Studies. Faculty interested in cross-listing Spring 1996 courses with
the WGS minor or who have questions about how to cross-list a course should inform Karen Kaivola by Monday,
September 11. Courses that have been approved for cross-listing by the WGS committee in the past (and have
not been redesigned) do not need to be reapproved; new or redesigned courses will have to meet with WGS
