REMINDER-UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEETING, today Friday, November 1, Noon-1:15 p.m., Rinker Auditorium,

The Faculty Senate will hold its next meeting on Monday, November 4. Dinner will be at 6:00 p.m., in the Private
Dining Room of the Carlton Union Building. The meeting will follow at 6;45 p.m., in the Faculty Lounge. Dinner
and the meeting are open to all faculty. Anyone wishing to make a reservation for the dinner should contact Guy
Houk (ext. 7265, e-mail [email protected]). Cost of the dinner is $4.50.

Bass Baritone John Shuffle will provide a master class for singers on Monday, November 4, from 3:00 to 5:00
p.m., in Elizabeth Hall Auditorium. Mr. Shuffle is known nationally for his performances of leading operatic roles
and for his concert and oratorio appearances.
Live in Elizabeth Hall, Tuesday, November 5. 7:30 p.m.-The Woodwind Ensemble will perform works for clarinet
choir, flute choir, saxophone quartet, double-reed ensemble, and mixed ensemble. The directors of the ensembles
are Lynn Cholka, clarinet; Jean West, flute; Ann Adams, oboe; Ashley Cooley, bassoon; and Jim Bishop,

Professional Development Workshop. Dr. Marilyn Ross. Grants Consultant to the Provost, will be presenting a
seminar on how to find and apply for external grants, on Wednesday. November 6, 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. in the Faculty
Lounge. David Dysart will also be on hand to discuss opportunities available to faculty through the Fulbright
program. This seminar is sponsored by the Professional Development Committee. For more information please
