"STETSON AND THE NEWS MEDIA: MAKING THE NEWS MEDIA WORK FOR YOU," full of practical tips and 'live'
illustrations. A reminder to Faculty and Staff of this most interesting workshop, sponsored by the Professional
Development Committee, to be held Monday. November 7, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.. in the Private Dining Room, Carlton
Union Building, 2nd Floor, with dinner following. The workshop will be conducted by Jackie Kersh and Betty

SEXUAL HARASSMENT WORKSHOPS. As you know, Dr. Ann Browning Masters, a recognized authority on sexual
harassment on college campuses, will be conducting workshops on this topic on Wednesday and Thursday,
November 9 and 10. These workshops are sponsored by the Campus Life Office, the Women and Gender Studies
Program, the Personnel Office, and the Quality of Service Committee. This broad sponsorship emphasizes the
importance of this timely topic, and I want to add my endorsement by encouraging each of you to consider

The Faculty Women's Caucus will host a potluck dinner on Wednesday. November 9, 6:00 p.m. at Ann Morris'
house (535 West Florence Avenue). Our guest will be Dr. Ann Browning Masters, the educational consultant who
will be leading the sessions on sexual harassment on November 9 and 10. (See this issue of The Newsletter for
additional information about those sessions). The dinner will give members of the Faculty Women's Caucus a
chance to chat informally with Dr. Browning Masters about sexual harassment on college campuses and related

The next University Faculty meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 14, at 10:00 a.m. in Rinker Auditorium,
Davis Hall. The topic will be a proposal (specific details on page 5) with respect to the number of hours required
for graduation in the new calendar and a timetable for phasing and implementing the change.
