COMMENCEMENT-Edmunds Center
COMMENCEMENT. The December Commencement is Saturday, December 16, at 9:00 a.m., in the Edmunds
Center. The line of march will form at 8:30 a.m. in the west corridor-outside Hatter Boosters' room on the ground
floor level. I hope as many faculty as possible will attend. Students and parents very much appreciate your
support. The President's reception will be held immediately following the ceremony in the Faculty Lounge. All

FINAL GRADES FOR ALL STUDENTS ARE DUE IN THE REGISTRAR'S OFFICE BY 9:00 A.M. TUESDAY, DECEMBER
19. Please don't forget to sign the rolls and hand deliver them if at all possible to the Registrar's Office. That way
we can resolve any problems that may exist. Faculty are reminded that the Registrar's Office has converted to
optically scanned grade rolls. Because the forms must pass through a machine to be read they cannot be folded,
stapled or mutilated in any way. Errant marking of the form will also cause it to be rejected. We also request that
you pay particular attention to the instructions on the form so that we may minimize errors. Thank you in advance

OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK OUT: Don Lindley, managing editor of The News Journal in Daytona Beach, seeks Op-
Ed pieces from our faculty members for a new column, "Community Voices," to run every Monday opposite the
editorial page. The subject matter need not be limited to local issues; the newspaper seeks local voices to speak
out on any newsworthy topic in their areas of expertise. Remember that the best Op-Eds express a strong opinion,
and the optimum length is 600 words. Call Betty Brady or Jackie Kersh in Public Relations, ext. 8920, for more

The Stetson Community School of Music's Dance program, directed by Kim Norman, will present an additional
performance of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite on Tuesday evening, December 19, at 7:30 p.m. in Elizabeth
Hall. Featured will be Susan A. L. Hicks and Lisa Phillips, with choreography by George Balanchme, Mikhail
Baryshnikov, Ruth Page, and Stetson instructors, Norman, Phillips and Hicks. A $1 donation is requested at the
