ANNOUNCEMENTS
REMINDER-DISNEY CONNECTION-SPECIAL MEETING. Stetson has been approached by representatives of the
Disney Development Corporation which is planning a model residential community near Kissimmee. They seek
our cooperation in the establishment and operation of a K-12 public school in this community. Interested faculty
are invited to come to hear from Gary Maris and Larry Rosen about possible ways Stetson might be involved.
The meeting will be held: Monday, September 7, 10:00 a.m.. Private Dining Room, Carlton Union Building.

REMINDER-STETSON UNIVERSITY CHORAL UNION. All Stetson faculty and staff are invited to participate in
the 1992 Fall Semester Choral Union. This semester, the choir's concert will feature one of the most exciting
and challenging works in the choral/orchestra repertoire, Beethoven's Mass in C. The Choral Union will present
its Fall Concert at the First Baptist Church of DeLand on November 24, and will be joined in this performance
by the Stetson Orchestra and guest soloists. The choir rehearses on Monday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00, in
Elizabeth Hall Auditorium. The first rehearsals will be held September 7, at 7:00 p.m. Musical scores are
available for purchase at the University Bookstore. No audition is required for Choral Union, nor is there a
participation fee. The music of Beethoven will require our community's most secure and eager singers (especially
men). Please join us in the study and performance of this great music.

REMINDER-You can still cross-list your Spring course as a Women and Gender Studies course if you act
promptly. Why not attend the WGS Workshop on Thursday, September 10. Flagler 109, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. and
discover how easy this is? We will talk about ways of modifying already scheduled courses and designing new
courses so they can count toward the WGS minor. Sample syllabi and guidelines for submitting your course for
approval will be distributed. Call ext. 7720 or 7724 for a reservation. If you cannot get to the workshop but
would like to know more about courses for the WGS Minor and submission procedures, call ext. 7720 or send
