UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEETING-Monday, September 13, 4:00 p.m., Rinker Auditorium, Davis Hall. President

REMINDER-The Faculty Women's Caucus will hold its first meeting on Monday, September 13, at 10:00 a.m. in
Room 205 of Flagler Hall. All female faculty members, coaching staff, and administrators are welcome. If you
have an item for the agenda, please send it to me at Box 8376.

FACULTY SENATE MEETING, 6:45 p.m., Monday, September 13, 1993, in the Faculty Lounge. Faculty Senate
meetings are open to all faculty. Dinner is at 6:00 p.m. in the Private Dining Room. Anyone wishing to eat
(including Senators) should make a reservation with Jane Bradford (ext. 7190 or ext. 7175) by noon on Monday
the 13th.
The agenda for the meeting will include announcement of Senate committee assignments, report of the results of
the faculty survey of concerns, and discussion of the Senate's goals for the year. Provost Lubot will be a guest
of the Senate at this meeting.
FACULTY. You should have already received a Faculty Senate Questionnaire. This questionnaire asks you to let
the Senate know what issues you feel the Senate should address this year. Please fill out and return the
questionnaire to Leonard Nance, Campus Box 8387 TODAY so that your concerns can be brought before the

REMINDER-BRIDGE CLASSES. Dr. John Hague and Dr. Lynn Mortimer will teach an introduction to bridge on
Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. starting September 15. Students start playing bridge the very first
night. This class is useful not only for beginners, but also for others who would like a review of the fundamentals
of bidding and play. If eight undergraduates enroll, all materials will be provided free by the American Contract
Bridge League. The classes are open to all students, faculty, and staff.
DEPARTMENT CHAIRS. Please come by the Provost's Office and pick up copies of the revised Faculty Handbook.
