REMINDER—Hear TWO bands for the price of ONE!! The Fall Concert of the Stetson Jazz
Ensemble will be held on Saturday, November 9, at 8:00 p.m. in the Stetson Room of the
Carlton Union Building. The ensemble will perform works by Toshiko Akiyoshi, Jeff
Benedict, Bill Evans, Count Basie, and Dan Gailey. Also featured on the program will be
the Daytona Beach Community College Jazz Band performing works by Charlie Parker, Cootie,
Williams, Horace Silver, and Woody Herman.

The monthly meeting of the Women's Faculty Caucus will be Friday, November 15, at 10:00
a.m. in Flagler Hall. Several issues are on the agenda. If you have other items, please

CORRECTION—CHECK REQUISITIONS: Please be aware that due to the upcoming Thanksgiving
holidays, the last check run for the month of November will be November 25, 1991. Any
checks needed before December 3 must be in our office no later than noon, November 22.

REMINDER—(and room location)—"The other workstation vendor to watch is NeXT. . . The
{NeXT Station} has speed, a much improved operating system,, and. . .color. While everyone
else is trying to build ease of use into their systems, NeXT will be filling orders. I
see the NeXT Station as the only workstation that can, starting now, draw users away from
Windows-based PCs and the Mac." - Byte Magazine. The Florida regional NeXT representative
will be on campus Tuesday, November 12. There will be a demonstration, tentatively
scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Make room on your calendar for a state-of-the-art computer
workstation demonstration, with applications in the Arts, Sciences, Music, and Business.
