REMINDER. Save your receipts from Scotty's Building Supply and help Habitat build a house! Scotty's has made
an agreement with Habitat for Humanity affiliates around the nation. For every $100,000 in Scotty's receipts
that are turned in locally, the local Scotty's will donate $10,000 worth of basic building materials to Habitat.
The West Volusia affiliate is participating in this project. If you purchase any items at Scotty's, please save your
receipt and send it to me through campus mail. You will be helping to building a house for people in need in

In conjunction with former President Jimmy Carter's visit, the University Club and Habitat for Humanity will be
working together to build a house.
DATE: Saturday, October 17, 1992.
TIME: Two shifts: 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Garfield/Division (south of Hwy. 44-New York Avenue)-there will be
signs. BRING (if possible), shovel, hoe, clippers, gloves.
LUNCH: Bring your own. Drinks will be provided.
DAY CARE: Toddlers and older-lunch provided.
We are asking all persons interested in helping (all skills are needed, from wood workers to baby sitters). Please
call Liz Pippio at 822-8930.
Donations for the Stetson Chapter of Habitat for Humanity will be accepted at the Stewart Lecture on October
26. Students will be at each exit accepting donations. Checks should be made payable to "Habitat for

On Monday, October 19, the Political Science department will be hosting a Political Science Forum in rooms
204/205 of the Carlton Union Building. The time will be from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., and guests are encouraged
to bring their own lunch. The guest speaker will be LeAnn Weiss and the topic of discussion will be "Eight is
Enough: Limitation of Political Terms." All faculty members and students are welcome to attend.

REMINDER. All faculty and staff: You may pick up a copy of the 1991-92 Hatter Yearbook between October
13 and October 23. Books are available in Room 104, in the rear of the Student Lounge, Carlton Union Building,
or in the Student Life office, second floor, CUB.
Tell us your Stetson stories. The 1992-93 Hatter Yearbook will focus on Stetson traditions. Do you have a story
or anecdote about a Stetson tradition that you would like to share? If so, please submit your article (100 words
or less, typed) to Jennifer Heirs, Editor, Hatter Yearbook, campus box 8246, by December 1.
