ANNOUNCEMENTS
UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEETING. President Lee will report briefly on salary policy for the
current year. The major report will be an update on the Master Campus Plan and an update

BENEFITS MEETING. There will be an open meeting regarding all University benefits on
Monday, September 23, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Room 204/205, Carlton Union Building. This
is your opportunity to clarify any of your questions and voice your concerns regarding
your benefits. Representatives from all carriers will be available. There will also be
announcements regarding new benefits under the Blue Cross/Blue Shield policy. A
memorandum regarding renewal of health insurance premiums was distributed this week. If
you did not receive a copy, please call and we will send one to you. OPEN ENROLLMENT—
the ability to change coverage between carriers without penalties—will be from September
23 to September 27th. Please come to the meeting if you need to make any changes. No
"open" changes will be accepted after this period.

Appearance on campus of Lubisa Adamovich, September 25, 7:30 p.m., Rinker Auditorium,
Davis Hall. Topic: "Yugoslavia in Crisis." Mr. Adamovich chaired the Department of
International Economics at the University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia and has taught in a
number of American Universities, including Colgate, Lehigh, and Florida State, where he
is Visiting Professor of Economics this semester. He has authored numerous works on
Soviet and East European economics and economic integration. From: Paul Steeves
The General Education Committee for the College of Arts and Sciences, invites you to
recommend books or articles you believe may be especially useful background reading as
we begin our work. Comments on these courses will be particularly helpful. If possible,
please send replies to Box 8283, by Wednesday, September 25.

Mrs. Ann Colwell has requested that all gifts received by the University in memory of Dr.
Carter Colwell be placed in an endowed scholarship fund for minority students. This fund
will be a need-based scholarship for Arts and Sciences majors, with preference given to
Volusia County residents. Anyone interested in participating in this fund should send
their memorial gifts to Campus Box 8279. Checks should be payable to Stetson University,
with a notation that they are designated for the Carter Colwell Scholarship Fund.
