CHRISTMAS CAROLING THURSDAY NIGHT: On the evening of Thursday, December 6, between 6:00
and 7:00 p.m., carolers representing various groups and organizations will be singing in
neighborhoods throughout DeLand as part of "Song in the Air 1990," a community Christmas
event organized by the Deland Sun News, DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce, and Stetson
University. The groups will stop periodically to sing Christmas carols and also will
accept donations of money or canned goods for the Neighborhood Center. At 7:00 p.m., they
will come together at the circle in front of the Carlton Union Building to form one,
large, community choir. Contributions will also be accepted at that time. Refreshments
will be available. We will be through by approximately 8:00 p.m. Please come and invite
friends and neighbors.
If you have a group who would like to participate as carolers, please call the Music
School Office, 822-8950. From: Dr. Richard Kindred, Psychology Department
