ANNOUNCEMENTS
On Thursday, September 27, at 4:00 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge, the Professional
Development Committee will hold a workshop on procedures and policies related to the
awarding of Stetson Summer Grants for 1991. Applications will be distributed at the
meeting. With the increasing size of the budget for summer grants, your chances of
success are very good. No one is automatically excluded, although the committee follows
a set of guidelines in their evaluation procedure. Some of these guidelines have been
modified since last year. Come to get the latest information.

A reminder of the change in the early-registration process for Winter Term and Spring
Semester. This year, seniors, juniors, and sophomores will receive their packets during
the week of October 22, be advised October 28-November 2, and early-register on November
5 and 6. Freshmen will receive their packets on November 9, be advised November 12-14,
and early-register on November 15. HO REGISTRATION WILL TAKE PLACE NOVEMBER 7 THROUGH
NOVEMBER 14. Any student who misses their registration time or who wishes to make changes
may do so any time after November 15. More detailed information will be included in your
adviser packers which you will receive on October 17 or 18. If you have any questions,

The Professional Development Committee invites suggestions or topics for its workshop
series for this year. We invite suggestions from individuals, committees, or campus
organizations concerned with the professional development of the faculty. We sponsor
workshops both during the school year and immediately after Commencement in the spring.
Please feel free to discuss your ideas with a member of the committee or send them to the

WOODROW WILSON FELLOW: The Hollis Leadership Development Council is pleased to announce
Robert Koff, Violinist, will be our Woodrow Wilson Fellow for the 1990-91 academic year.
He will be visiting the campus Monday, October 8, through Friday, October 12. Koff was
a founding member of the Julliard String Quartet, and has taught at the Julliard School
of Music, Brandeis University, Tel Aviv University, Israel, and Harvard. He is a highly
acclaimed performer and lecturer, receiving rave reviews from other universities
participating in the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship program, particularly in dealing with non-
music students and classes. Please refer to last week's edition of This Week for a list
of available lectures designed for non-music students.
