REMINDER—STETSON FRIENDS OF ART HOLDS ART AUCTION: The newly formed Friends of Art of
Stetson University is sponsoring an Art Auction for the benefit of the Sampson Art
Gallery. The event will be held at the Indigo Lakes Banquet Center in Daytona Beach on
Saturday, November 10, beginning at 6:00 p.m. More than 60 artists have donated works
for the auction. To make a reservation call (904) 822-7450. The admission cost of $25
will include a reception-buffet. Seating is limited, so reservations must be made early.

SENATE MEETING—The November meeting of the 1990-91 Faculty Senate will be held on Monday,
November 12, at 6:45 p.m. in the Private Dining Room. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m.
for $4.50. Dinner reservations should be made with Anne Hallum at ext. 7575 by noon on
Monday. Linda Glover, Dean of Admissions, will give a report on admissions and
enrollment. Items on the Senate agenda include a recommendation on Library resources for
proposed new courses, proposed changes in the Freshman English Program, a statement of
copyright law compliance, and a statement on management of the tenure and promotion track.

FACULTY MEETING—November 15, 4:15 p.m.—Rinker Auditorium, Davis Hall. President Lee
will report on the Florida Baptist Convention consideration of the Stetson proposal. He
will comment on one or two additional issues. There may be a proposal from the Faculty
Senate. If there is such a proposal, it will be distributed prior to the meeting.

FORUM ON RACE RELATIONS. The United Minority Caucus, History Department, and the Hollis
Leadership Development Council, will sponsor a forum on Race Relations. The forum will
feature discussion of race relations at Stetson since the 50's, present concerns,
underlying tensions, and questions about where we can go from here. The forum will be
held on Wednesday, November 14, 7:30-9:00 p.m. in Elizabeth Hall, room 315. The speakers
will include Dr. Deidre Crumbly, Rollins College, and Dr. John Hague, American Studies
