ANNOUNCEMENTS
SENATE MEETING—The October meeting of the 1990-91 Faculty Senate will be held on Monday,
October 8, at 6:45 p.m. in the Coffee House. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. for $4.50
in the President's Dining Room. Dinner reservations should be made with Anne Hallum at
ext. 7575 by noon on Monday. Please note the change in room location for dinner and the
Senate meeting. This change is for the October meeting only. Dr. Jim Beasley, Interim
Dean of Student Affairs, will make a presentation and answer questions about the Office
of Student Affairs, and new and revised policies and procedures under his responsibility.
Items on the Senate agenda include a report on faculty responses to the Senate
questionnaire and the suggested changes in Senate and University Bylaws.

The Stetson Fall Blood Drive will be held on Monday and Tuesday, October 8 and 9, from
11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Stetson Room of the Carlton Union Building. Your
support of the Blood Drive is extremely important. Your friends, neighbors, and family
depend upon the Red Cross for blood and blood products. If you do not donate, the supply
of blood may not be adequate. Please donate and encourage your friends, colleagues, and
students to donate also. Dr. Mitchell G. Reddish, Faculty Adviser, Blood Drive
POLITICAL FORUM will meet at 12:15 p.m., Monday, October 8, in rooms 204-5 of the Carlton
Union Building. The topic will be "Stetson on the Campaign Trail," featuring students
and a recent graduate who have campaign experience. Bring your lunch and join the

The Faculty Women's Caucus brunch will be held Saturday, October 13, at 10:30 a.m. at 135
Minnesota Avenue, DeLand. This is a covered dish, so please bring fruit, pastries, or
other appropriate dishes. There will be facilities for warming dishes. Please reserve

GREEK BIBLE STUDY, (GBS), is a fellowship group on campus that targets fraternity and
sorority members but is open to everyone. We would like to have faculty and staff come
to speak at our meetings on any topic that you deem appropriate. This would be a great
opportunity for students to get better acquainted with you as well as you with the
students. Greek Bible Study is held at a designated fraternity or sorority house each
Monday night at 9:00 p.m. If you are interested in sharing your message, please contact
