The Physics Department recently received a grant of $13,730 from the National Science
Foundation. The grant will be used to purchase computers and associated data
acquisition equipment for use in the introductory laboratories. The students using
this equipment will use the computer to record, analyze, and plot experimental data.

The following announcements have been received from the University Departments,
Colleges and Schools:
Dr. Mitchell Reddish, Assistant Professor of Religion, has an article on "Martyr
Christology in the Apocalypse" in the current issue of the Journal for the Study of
the New Testament an international journal. During the Summer he also received a
contract from Abingdon Press to write a book, A Reader in Apocalyptic Literature which
will be used as a text in RN. 253.
