Jack Stevens, Chair of the Winter Term Committee, was then called on by
the Provost to report on the work of the committee. Jack Stevens began by
saying that the response from the Provost and other University administrators had been very positive. He asked for suggestions and ideas from
faculty for Winter Term courses and requested that each faculty member
carefully consider courses they are offering—courses that will be open to
all students. He also requested that, in addition to the three-hour course,
a one-hour course be offered also.
John Schorr, Chair of the Faculty Senate, reminded all new faculty that
a reception and orientation session would be held on Tuesday, September 13,
at 7:00 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge.
President Lee asked the Faculty if they had any other business or
announcement s.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00
a.m.
