ANNOUNCEMENTS
REMINDER: The Collegial Seminar sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences will
meet today, Friday, November 13, at noon in the Private dining Room. The paper of the
day will be "Knowledge, Culture, and the University: An Informal Experiment in late-
1980s Apocalyptic Pedagogy" by Dr. David Robinson, English Department. Bring a brown

HOLLIS BOOK FEAST. The third in the series of dinner-discussions sponsored by the
Task Force on Leadership Development will be on Tuesday, November 17. The materials
for discussion this time are booklets: "Leadership for Change: Toward a Feminist
Model" by Kokopeli and Lakey; and "Leadership Studies" by John Gardner. You may have
free copies and meal if you are among the first 40 to make your commitment-reservation

"Critical Thinking and General Education" will be the theme of a Professional
Development Committee workshop at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, in the Private
Dining Room of the Carlton Union Building. Dr. Derek Barkalow will explain
instructional techniques and curricular strategies associated with this topic. If you
would like to stay for a complimentary dinner and discussion, please make your
reservation by calling ext. 227. Even if you can't stay for dinner, feel free to join

The annual ROTC Fall Awards Ceremony will be held on Monday, November 30, 1987, in the
Elizabeth Hall Chapel at 1:30 p.m. All faculty are invited to attend.
