COLLEGIAL SEMINARS: A reminder of today's (Friday 10/30) noontime paper by Dr. Ann
Jerome Croce, "The Culture of Sentimentalism in Nineteenth Century America" in the
Private Dining Room. Carry-up or brown bag lunch. From: Dr. Paul Steeves
The Artists and Lecturers Committee and the School of Music are sponsoring a visit by
Dr. Jerry Bush, Professor of Piano, at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. Dr.
Bush will give a master class in Elizabeth Hall, Friday, October 30, from 11:00 a.m.-
1:30 p.m. for the piano students of Marilyn Joiner and Michael Rickman, and will
present a recital on Saturday, October 31, at 8:00 p.m. in Elizabeth Hall.

INAUGURATION—NOVEMBER 6, 1987
The Inauguration of Doug Lee as President will occur on Friday, November 6, at 2:30
p.m. Classes will be cancelled starting at 1:30 p.m. The Library will close for the
day beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Generally, administration offices will close for the day at 2:00 p.m. so that all
administration and clerical staff may attend the ceremony and the reception which will
follow. Decisions about continuing certain administrative functions will be made by
the appropriate administrators.
