ANNOUNCEMENTS
In observance of Founders Month, Stetson will be hosting two community
events next Tuesday, November 18. "Stetson Today," a breakfast program
in the Stetson Room, will be followed by tours of Chaudoin Hall and the
food services operation for elected government officials and leaders of
business and professional organizations. Faculty members from the
School of Business Administration and the Department of Political
Science have been invited also. In the afternoon, from 1:00 to 3:00
p.m., a self-guided walking tour of campus historic buildings is
scheduled for the general public. Students will be present at each of
the buildings on tour to assist the visitors; DeLand Hall (first
floor), Elizabeth Hall Chapel, Sampson Hall Gallery, and Chaudoin
parlor will be open. We hope to repeat "Stetson Today" in the spring
for a different group, such as education and religious leaders, and to
do the walking tour again during DeLand Heritage Days. We hope none of
these activities will cause any inconvenience.

The Stetson Jazz Ensemble will give its first campus concert of this
academic year on Saturday evening, November 15, at 8:00 p.m. in the
Edmunds Center. The program will include both Big Band and combo
arrangements. The Ensemble is in mid-year form already following its
successes at St. Peter's Oktoberfest and the Night on the Rivertown
Festival. Plan to come out and support the best jazz band in the
county on Saturday, November 15! Free to Stetson faculty and staff.
