ANNOUNCEMENTS
The first Chapel service of the year will be on Wednesday,
September 11 at 10:00 a.m. I urge you to be present to support
Dr. Clyde Fant, the new Dean of the Chapel. Encourage your students

The Faculty Senate will hold its first meeting of the academic year on
Monday, September 9 in the Private Dining Room of the CUB at 6:45 p.m.
All who are interested are welcome. The meeting will be preceded by
dinner at 6:00 p.m. Reservations for dinner are requested. Please
call Michael Branton, ext. 472. There is a charge for dinner.

Rotary Scholaships for Study Abroad: Faculty and students are
reminded of the October 1 deadline, the final date for receipt of
completed applications by a local Rotary club. It is not too late for
a student to apply for the Graduate Scholarship or the Undergraduate
Scholarship for study abroad in 1986-1987. Application materials may
be obtained from Dr. Jesse L. Berry, room 105 Sampson Hall, or from
any of the local Rotary clubs. Students in any field of study may
apply. The total value of the scholarship is estimated at $16,000.
