ANNOUNCEMENTS
The first general meeting of the faculty of the University will
be held on Monday, September 3, 1984, at 9:00 a.m. in Stover Theatre.
This is an extremely important occasion, and all faculty members
are expected to be present. From: The Office of the President
The opening Convocation will be held on Wednesday, September 5,
at 9:00 a.m. in the Forest of Arden. All faculty are expected
to participate in the academic processional unless officially
excused.

The first Chapel service of the year will be on Wednesday, September

Microcomputers
Approximately twenty (20) Rainbow (PC 100-B2) microcomputers
are now available for purchase by individual faculty members. Each
unit has 128KB of memory and two disk drives with a total of 800KB
of disk space. One BASIC software package comes with each unit
and is included in the total purchase price. The units may be
seen in the Academic Computer Center, and Mr. Bruce Weller will
be happy to answer technical questions.
The cost to faculty members will be $1,600 cash or $1,665
on a payroll deduction plan of $18 5 per month (September through
May) .
