ANNOUNCEMENTS
Class rolls for mid-term grade inventories will be distributed to
faculty members on Friday, October 11. In addition to listing "D"
or "F" grades, please verify the accuracy by signing each roll and
returning them to the Registrar's office not later than 9:00 a.m.
October 21. Return all copies even if you have no grades to list.
This is the last opportunity to check for accuracy before the final
grades are due. From: Al Wehrle, Registrar
It is with deep regret that we announce the resignation of Janice B.
Hess as Director of the Student Health Service effective October 13,
1985. Ms. Hess has accepted the position of Clinical Nurse Coordinator
at the Daytona Beach Clinic of the Veteran's Administration scheduled
for opening January 1986. This is a significant professional growth
opportunity for her, and the University will sorely miss her dedicated
and highly competent service over the past 16 years.
All faculty and staff are invited to a reception Thursday, October 10,
in the Faculty Lounge from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. honoring Janice B. Hess
upon her departure from Stetson. We would hope that the many students,
faculty, and staff whose life she richly touched would take this opportunity to come by and express themselves to her.
Concurrently, it is with pleasure that we announce the appointment of
Hadie G. Kenner as Director of the Student Health Service effective
October 14, 1985. Ms. Kenner holds the degree Bachelor of Science in
Psychology from Stetson, as well as the Registered Nurse certification
from the State of Florida. She has been a member of the University
staff for 17 years, most recently in her current position as Director
of Nurses in the Health Service. We are confident Ms. Kenner will
provide continued good leadership in this important responsibility.
