ANNOUNCEMENTS
Clarification and Disclaimer: Stetson University has entered into
contracts with nine financial institutions, insurance companies and
mutual associations qualified under governmental regulations and
codes to write tax deferred annuity contracts. These contracts
allow such organizations to provide tax deferred investment vehicles
for University employees under applicable Federal income tax provisions. These contracts have been established for the convenience
and at the request of employees. Members of the staff of Stetson
University are not licensed securities dealers nor agents and are
not authorized to provide advice or counsel in regards to the selection nor appropriateness of options under either the University's
basic retirement program nor any of these supplemental financial
investment vehicles. The existence of a contract between Stetson
University and another organization for the purpose of channeling
employee funds into a qualified, tax-sheltered deposit account does
not constitute any endorsement or recommendation of any financial
product either by the University, its officers, or members of its

Employee and Faculty I.D. cards will be issued during the week of
October 17, 1983, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. except during the
lunch hour (12-1). Please call Lucy Caruso at extension 576 in
the Personnel Office to make an appointment. Cards for spouses and
dependent children are available at a charge of $5.00 per family.
These photo cards should be carried as a convenience to both the
