The Stetson Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa will be installed formally
at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 19, in the Chapel in Elizabeth Hall.
In honor of the occasion the President is convening a formal
University Convocation. We are asking the Faculty to line up
in the hallway of Elizabeth Hall at approximately ten minutes
before 10:00 a.m., in full academic regalia. There will be a
processional and recessional for this event. Marshalls will be
present at the appointed time to help you find your place in
the academic procession. If for some reason you cannot attend
the Convocation, please discuss your situation with your respective
Dean. Thank you.

Harry S. Truman Scholarship Program: Stetson has the opportunity
to nominate two juniors, who are preparing for a career in
government service. Successful candidates will be paid a maximum
of $5,000 for up to four years. Candidates must have a "B" average
and be in the upper quarter of the class. The deadline for nomination is December 1. We have not nominated a candidate recently,
and I am hopeful that we may have at least one nominee this year.
