Please note that the University will observe its usual Thanksgiving holidays on
Thursday, and Friday, November 26 and 27. The Christmas holidays will be on Thursday
and Friday, December 24 and 25. New Year's Day will be observed on Friday, January 1.
Administrative and academic offices will be closed for these holidays.

The appearance on campus of John Parks, a Reader's Digest affiliate artist, provides
an unusual opportunity for all of us. I urge you to note the calendar of events and
remind your students of those events which will be helpful to them.

The sixth annual Career Fair will begin on Monday, November 16 at 5:00 p.m. in the
Garden Room area of the cafeteria with an Alumni Dinner. Please urge all students to
get their trays and sit with recent grads who will relate their job experiences to
them.
On Tuesday, November 17, the Interview-Resume Clinic will be conducted in the Seminar
Room at the Counseling Center. The hours for this activity are 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
and 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 18, will conclude the Career Fair activities with the Career
Panorama in the Student Lounge, C.U.B. from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please plan to
attend and emphasize to your students that these activities are for all majors and
all classes.
Information on Smithsonian Institution opportunities for research and study in history, art, and science and on National Science Foundation Chautauqua Short Courses
for College Teachers is now available by contacting Dean Strickland, extension 467,
Elizabeth Hall.
