All faculty and their spouses are invited to the reception for freshmen
students at the President's home on Tuesday, September 8, 7-8:30 p.m.
Please do not go through the receiving line, but go directly to the
garden area on the south side of the house to mingle with the new students,
Applications and information are available in my office, describing the
1982 Summer Stipends from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Stetson University may nominate three members from its faculty and
staff for these Summer Stipends which amount to $2,500. each for two
consecutive months during the summer of 1982. The application deadline

The first Faculty Senate meeting for fall 1981 will be on Tuesday,
September 8 at 6:45 p.m. in the Private Room of the Carlton Student
Union Building. Senate meetings are open to all faculty members.
All new faculty members and their spouses are invited to an orientation/
reception hosted by the Faculty Senate to be held Monday, September 7
at 7:30 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge of the Carlton Union Building.
