Pre-registration for the winter term and for the spring semester will take
place November 6,7,8,13 and 14 between the hours of 4 and 8 pm in Flagler
Hall. These hours were chosen to avoid conflicts with classes. The week
of October 22 will be used for signing up for advising appointments. Advising will take place during the week of October 29 with pre-registration
following on the dates listed above. All advisors should have received
appointment sheets for posting on their office doors, any advisors who have
not received these sheets should call the office of the Dean of the University.
On October 29 advisors will receive class schedules and appointment cards on
which will appear the advisees names and registration times. Following the
advising appointments, advisors are asked to sign these cards and indicate
the total number hours to be taken. These cards then allow the students to
be admitted to registration at the designated time. Please help to disseminate this information to our students and urge them to sign up promptly for
their conference. , , _, - -

Registration for children's classes at Stetson University's Stover Theatre
is scheduled Saturday, October 22, 1-3 pm at the theatre, according to
B. Bruce Griffiths, supervising director. Classes for area residents are
planned for ages 8-10, and 11-12. A teen theatre is also slated for 13-15
year olds. Persons wishing information on the program may call Stover
Theatre at 734-4121, ext 521, 3-5 pm weekdays.
William C. Johnson's essay, "Literature, Film, and the Evoluation of Consciousness," has appeared in The Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism,
38 (1979), 29-38.
On October 12-14, Kemper D. Smith, III, Director of Residential Life, together with seven students — Debbie Brown, Betsy Clemons, Mark Durland,
Tim Egnor, Craig Kettles, Kevin Kraus, and Regina Sargent — attended the
annual Florida Resident Adviser Seminar at Eckerd College. Under the leadership of Smith, the seven students made an audio-visual presentation "'Coming
Home* Via Room Personalization" on the paint and renovation program in process in Stetson's residence halls.
The following students will be performing with the Percussion Ensemble at
Seminole Community College on Wednesday, October 24, and will be gone for
most of the day: Chris Nolin, Ray McClain, Jeff Smathers, John Jenkins,
Steve Clark, and Tom McGeachy.
