Classes resume
The. Personnel Department is now located on the first floor, Elizabeth
Hall, in the space formerly occupied by the Vice-President for Finance.
The primary objective of the Personnel Department will be to assist all
University staff members in matters involved with personnel administration
and also to insure complaince with all Federal, State, and local laws pertaining to employment practices.
Faculty and professional appointments will not be directly affected by
the Personnel Department but any assistance requested will be made available,
Appointments to or termination from all other University employee positions
must be coordinated through the Personnel Department. All applications
for employment (except faculty and professional) will be maintained in the
files of the Personnel Department and made available as requested or needed
to other supervisors.
Wayne Hanks appreciates the cooperation and assistance being given him as

One third of the faculty and administrative staff have now responded to
the 1980 Greenfeather/United Way campaign. This group has pledged an
amount equal to 78% of the goal for faculty and administrators. We
welcome additional gifts & pledges. Please send them to box 1357.
I
Joe Master, Harry Taft and Jud Stryker, of the Accounting Department,
attended the fourth annual conference of the Florida Association of
Accounting Educators. The conference was held November 14 & 15, at Lake-
Sumter Community College.
Janice Jenkins served as program chairman for the Southeast Regional
Meeting of the Music Library Association held at Florida State University
on October 31 through November 1.
