Classes will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 7 instead of 8:00
a.m. which is listed in the Orientation booklet.
Beginning with this issue the Stetson University Faculty Bulletin will
originate in the new office of The Vice President and Dean of the University. As in previous years, you are requested to have your information
into this office by Thursday at 12:00 noon. The bulletin will continue
to be published on Friday.
The need has existed for one central official calendar of University
activities. All dates, times, and places, academic and non-academic,
should be listed on this calendar. This should serve as the one
location where any one of us can check to clear a calendar date and to
coordinate the scheduling of related events as to avoid conflicts.
Such an official calendar for the University has been established in
the Office of the Director of the Carlton Union. All members of the
University community are asked to contact the Director of the Carlton
Union, Rodney Ellis, or the secretary, Jean Collins, at Extension 254
or 255 to consult the official Calendar or to schedule events on it.
If all of us will be attentive to the need for placing pertinent information on the Calendar, and if we remain aware that the Office of the
Director of the Carlton Union is the central place on campus to find
out information on a given event or to check available dates, the entire
University will be well served and better informed. I solicit your

On planning your schedule for the semester, please note that the class
schedule for Thursday, September 28 will be modified in the following
manner:
8:00 a.m. classes meet 8:00 - 8:50
9:25 a.m. classes meet 9:00 - 9:50
10:50 a.m. classes meet 11:00-12:05
These are the same changes that were made last February 9 and are being
made for the preaching series to be held at 10:00 a.m. on September
27, 28, and 29. The speaker will be Dr. William Self, Pastor of the
Wieuca Road Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia.
