Stetson University has maintained a travel accident policy for its employees providing a death
benefit of $50,000 in the event of death while traveling out of town on University business.
The new insurance carrier on this policy is now providing an opportunity for the employee to
name a beneficiary; if none is named the death benefit would be paid to the deceased's estate.
Those who travel regularly for the University are being given direct the beneficiary form for
completion. Those who travel occasionally are urged to file such a form at the travel desk,
Mrs. Stevens, in the Comptroller's Office.
For reasons of this coverage, among others, it is mutually important that a written record be
established before any University personnel make business trips for the University.

Tree Maintenance: Frequently when tree maintenance is being performed, concern is expressed.
During the next days several trees which have become diseased will be trimmed and certain ones
will be removed. A tree planting program will be continued this winter, realizing that the
maximum life span of a number of the water oaks has now been reached.

The deadline for the Spring 1979 book orders is November 19, 1978. Please submit your orders
to Patricia Simmons, text manager, at your earliest convenience.
Mr. James Beasley served as recorder and discussion leader in a workshop at Notre Dame University
November 2-4. The work centered around "Dilemmas in Corporate Decision-Making."
The following students were on a Forensics Trip to Montevallo, Alabama from Thursday, November
8 to Sunday, November 12: Diane Patrick, Ellen Covert, Kim Swoyer, Brad Berko, Helen Urfalino,
John Ralph, P. Bisso, Debbie LaFlam, Jeff Crowe, Monica Weibe, John Pelzer, Jim Julian, Michele
Miles.
The following students will be away from school on a Music School Recruiting trip on Monday,
November 13: Karen LeVines, David Bennett, Lucille Callaway, Pamela Ferrell, Stacy Flowers,
Lee Huffstutler, Allison Grainge, Peter Lund.
The annual Fast for a World Harvest will be observed Thursday, November 16, on campus. This
event is sponsored by the Religious Life Council. Money raised will be forwarded to OxFam
America(Oxford Committee for Famine Relief) for its program of self-help for underdeveloped
countries, development of food production technology toward making such countries food
independent. Students on meal tickets commit their meal tickets toward the fast, do not
use them that day, and the cafeteria donates the raw food cost for the fast and commit money
ordinarily spent on food for the day to the fund. Envelopes for remittance may be obtained
at sign up. Sign up on the Commons porch Friday lunch and dinner time, Sunday dinner time,
Monday and Tuesday lunch and dinner times, and Wednesday lunch. There will be a "breakfast"
soup supper, Thursday night in the Garden Room free of charge, after dinner serving time.

AAUP meeting, Tuesday, November 14, 6:45 p.m., in the Faculty Lounge. The agenda will include
reconsideration of the AAUP salary report in light of some information recently made available
by President Duncan, election of a new treasurer, and selection of issues to be considered in
upcoming meetings. All faculty members are invited to attend.
Coffee and tea are available in the Faculty Lounge Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until at
least 2 p.m. The materials are being provided by President Duncan and the service is being
