The producers of this bulletin wish to each of our readers a most blessed
and happy holiday season. Because He was born 2,000 years ago and yet lives
in our hearts, we face the coming year not only with love, joy and peace but
also with a great sense of expectation and anticipation. We believe that
next year will be the best one yet for Stetson University.
Martha Hale and Thomas J. Turner
President Duncan was reelected last week by the College Delegate Assembly to
the College Commission of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
at the annual meeting of the Association. In conjunction with the Association meeting the Conference of Academic Deans of the Southern States met.
At this meeting Dean Turner was elected secretary and treasurer of the Conference. Next year he will become vice president of the organization and
president in the following year.
Spring term is close at hand. In order to serve you, we must have your
textbook orders immediately. Your support and cooperation is greatly appreciated. Thank you. /s/ Hatter Bookstore
There will be a regular meeting of the Faculty Senate on January 8, 1979,
at 6:45 p.m. in the Private Dining Room of the Carlton Union Building. All
faculty are cordially invited to attend Senate meetings.
ADJUSTED TRAVEL RATES: Effective January 1, 1980, new travel rates will be
used for reimbursement of expenses for approved University travel:
