NOTICE TO DEPARTMENT HEADS : Spring schedules are due in the Registrar's Office
September 30. You will be receiving forms to submit your course offerings shortly.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The last day to DROP a class without financial penalty is Friday, September 9.
The last day to ADD a class or register for credit is Friday, September 16.
The last day to DROP a class without academic penalty is Friday, October 7.
The fall semester Grade Inventory will be Monday, October 24.
Preregistration for the winter term and spring semester will be November 7, 8, and 9-
When any changes in your telephone system are needed, please come to the office of the Vice
President for Finance. Special forms for changes are located in that office.

REMINDER: University policy does not allow incoming collect calls from within the State of
Florida to be accepted or charged to the University. The operator will take a "leave word, "
if possible, and return the call after notifying the called party and when the WATS line is
available. Should the call be an emergency, such as illness or a death message, personnel
of Stetson may accept the call and charge it to their home phone number or personal credit
card number.

TELEPHONE DIRECTORY SERVICE: With the charge now in effect for directory assistance
calls, the University has established a reference shelf of Florida telephone directories. This
collection is housed in the Library for the use of the University community. Where feasible,
we request that you utilize these directories to avoid the toll charge for telephone company
directory assistance. The following city directories are available, or will be shortly:
Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, Orlando, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Lakeland, Tallahassee,
Gainesville, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, New Smyrna Beach, Cocoa,
Casselberry, Ocala, Umatilla, and Leesburg. Please do not request the Library staff to look

HEALTH MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION (HMO) - Florida Health Care Plan, Inc. : A representative of this alternate group health plan will be on campus Wednesday, September 14, from
12:00 Noon until 2:30 P. M. , in Room 202, Carlton Union Building, to discuss in detail their
services. This will be of particular interest to new members of the staff, but all employees

faculty and staff wishing to borrow audio-visual equipment for non-Stetson off-campus use.
