On October 23, 1978, at 7:00 p.m. in Davis Hall there will be a general faculty
meeting at which time there will be a discussion of the priorities and prospects
for the 1979-80 budget of the University.

There will be an AAUP meeting Tuesday, October 10, 1979, at 6:45 p.m. in the
Faculty Lounge. All faculty are invited to attend. The two main items of
business will be a report on faculty salaries and a conversation with Doug
Lee, Vice President for Development.

Children's Theatre registration will be held on Saturday, October 7, from
10:00-12:00 and 1:30-3:30 according to Bruce Griffiths, Director of the Theatre.
There will be classes for children ages 8 to 10 and 11 to 13.
Dr. Ellen L. Smith, Department of English, spent October 2-4 in Washington D.C.
as a member of a panel of judges invited by the National Endowment for the
Humanities. The purpose of the meeting was to choose the national winners of
grants in media projects in the humanities.
