The next regular meeting of the Faculty Senate will be held in the Faculty Lounge (CUB) at
6:45 p.m., Tuesday, December 6. All interested faculty are invited to this meeting.

Saturday, December 10, 9:00 a. m.-9:00 p. m. , Sunday, December 11, 1:00 p.m. -1:00 a.m.,

An up-to-date list of Phi Beta Kappa members on the faculty and staff is being compiled. All
those who belong should notify Dr. Gerald Critoph, Box 1256, of that fact.
If you desire information concerning the optional cancer insurance policy please contact
Dr. Gary Maris. He has brochures on the policy.
On the day of a game, faculty and staff members may present their activity cards at the Box
Office of the Edmunds Center and receive a reserved chairback seat in the upper deck for each
activity card presented. This rule does not apply for the Sunshine State Doubleheader, December 2nd and 3rd. In the event of a sellout or potential sellout, faculty and staff will be requested
to sit in the general admission bleacher section of the east stands.
If faculty and staff members should desire to avoid the inconvenience of obtaining tickets on the
day of a game and also be guaranteed reserved seats for the season, they may purchase season
reserved tickets for half price ($20.00) in a section designated for faculty and staff. ($20.00 does
not include tickets for games played on December 2nd and 3rd. )
Tickets purchased at half price can only be used by holders of activity cards and positive identification will be required. Those who would like to purchase season tickets should call
Mr. Jon Davies at Ext. 534.
Dan Gunderson has done it again. He was the winner in ceramics at the Space Coast Art
Festival, Cocoa Beach, November 27. His display was also judged the best in the exhibit.
Dr. Raymond Cannon of the Mathematics Department gave a talk on November 18 to a regional
meeting of the Florida Section of the Mathematical Association of America. The title of his talk
was "Mathematics Instruction: A Continuing Experience. "
ENFORCEMENT OF PURCHASE ORDER PROCEDURES: Your attention is invited to the
attached duplicate copy of a letter written to a University supplier. The charge in question was
cancelled due to failure of a University employee and the vendor to comply with established purchase order procedures. The action of the vendor against the party initiating the order is of no
concern to the University.
The purpose of this announcement is to give evidence that purchase order procedures are being
enforced and accepted by vendors. There are no exceptions. /s/ H. G. Edmondson
