William Johnson chaired a session in "Psychoanalysis, Psychohistory and Medieval
Studies" at a May meeting of the Medieval Institute of Western Michigan University.
Dr. Johnson's article, "Art as Discovery: The Aesthetics of Consolation in Chaucer's
Book of the Duchess" appeared in the South Atlantic Bulletin (May 1975).
The last day to ADD a course or register for credit is Friday, September 19th. The
last day to DROP a course without penalty, is Friday, October 10th. Please do not
sign drop and add cards after these deadlines.
Registration for the Orff-Kodaly Children's Music Classes will be held in Room 113
Presser Hall, Tuesday, September 23 between the hours of 2:30-4:00 P. M. Parents
only at this time please. If registrations permit, I hope to have a preschool class and
a school age class this year. If you are interested please be at registration. There
is a small monthly fee ($7.50) which is used to buy materials, instruments, etc. used
in the course.

NOTICE TO DEPARTMENT HEADS: Pre-registration for the winter term and spring
semester is November 17, 18, 19. Spring schedules are due in the Registrar's Office
October 8th. You will be receiving forms to submit your course offerings shortly.
