SPRING RECESS
Humanities Division Officers (elected March 22, 1974):
Dr. William Johnson, Secretary
Dr. Jessie Berry, Faculty Senate Representative
Dr. John Hodges, Curriculum Committee Representative
Elected November 30, 1973, Representative on the Honors Council, Mr. James Wright.
Mr. Wright took office immediately and will serve through Spring 1975. This is a new office
and will ordinarily be a two-year term.
The annual Student Awards Assembly will be held at 10:00 a. m. on Monday, May 20 in
Elizabeth Hall. If your club, fraternity, department, or organization has an award to present
to a student please submit the following to the Office of Student Affairs no later than May 10:
name of award, name of recipient, name of presenter.
AAUP will meet again on Monday, April 22, at 12:00 noon. Go through the cafeteria line and
bring your tray upstairs to the Stetson Room.
The Executive Committee of the Faculty Senate requests that the April Faculty meeting be
changed from April 25 (Thursday) to April 23 (Tuesday).

The following ROTC Cadets were absent from the University, from 12:00 noon on April 3 to
April 7, for the purpose of attending the Camp Blanding Encampment, Camp Blanding, Florida:
MS I Cadets; Ben George, Robert Petrone, Robert Shaw, Adron Walker, Mark Wilson.
MS II Cadets: Jake Allen, Curtis Masek, Carl Pfeiffer, David Popper, Alan Williamson.
MS III Cadets: Harry Church, Charles Frechette, Peter Gibbons, Gregory Grimmer, James
Hathaway, Bayard Keller, Thomas McDonald, John Wynn, Rodney Guthrie. MS IV Cadets:
Richard Broward, Luis Castro, Francisco Maldonado, Roy Lasris, Gary Smith, Lennon Tatum,
Edwin Young.
The following students were absent from the University from 1:00 p. m. to 6:00 p. m. on
April 8 and April 9, when they participated in tennis matches with Southern Mississippi College
and Florida Tech: Ken Persson, Steve Flint, Richard Martin, Lee Shannon, Steve Rogers,
Malcolm Groves, Rayaen Sherrill, John Davies, Rick Broward.
