BEGIN EACH WEEK WITH PRAYER. Faculty, Staff and Students are invited and
encouraged to meet in the Chapel in Elizabeth Hall each Monday morning at 7:30 A. M.
for prayer.
J. Lawrence Bowden, of the Department of Education, successfully defended his
dissertation on October 2 and now has the Ed. D. in Educational Administration
from the University of Florida. The degree will be conferred in December of
this year.
Brigadier General James L. Collins, Jr., Commander of the Center of Military
History in Washington D. C., will be the guest lecturer at Stetson University on
October 22 at 7 P. M. in the Stetson Room. The General will lecture on a specific
aspect of World War II. All Faculty Members, Students and the General Public
are invited to attend.
President Johns has arranged for a procedural survey to be conducted reviewing
the University's equipment needs for paper work and other administrative support.
So that this effort can be introduced and explained, staff meetings will be held next
Tuesday morning, October 15. Two duplicate sessions will be scheduled at 9:30 A.M.
and 10:30 A. M. , each to last less than 30 minutes, in the Cafeteria in the Carlton
Union Building.
For our mutual assistance, it is requested that all office staff attend one of these
sessions.
Telephone Directories are ready for distribution, and may be picked up at the
