The Artists and Lecturers Committee will present American concert pianist
Lee Luvisi in recital at Elizabeth Hall, Tuesday, October 8 at 8:00 P.M.
The following students will be attending a Debate or Forensics Tournament this
weekend at Middle Tennessee University. They will be absent from classes on
Thursday and Friday, October 3 and 4: Mark Collins, Bobbi Rowe, Liz Knoblock,
Marcia Timmel, Bobbie Duduit.
The Office of the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts has received the usual number
of complaints concerning students who miss examinations and classes because some
professor gives an examination that spills over the allotted time. Will you please
confine all work to the time slot scheduled for it and no more. To do otherwise may
severely inconvenience a colleague and the students involved. Thank you.
On October 5, 6 the CUB is sponsoring a Bicycle Camping Trip to the Central
Baptist Church Youth Camp. Faculty members who would like to participate
should contact the Student Activities Office.
Deadline: Nominees for the Danforth Fellowship must register by 8 October for
the 26 October GRE, preferrably using one of the special application forms in
Dr. Colwell's possession.
The Fall Blood Drive will be held on Monday and Tuesday, October 7 and 8, from
10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. in the Stetson Room of the CUB. It will again be
sponsored by the Delta Delta Delta Sorority and the R. O. T. C. Your strong support
will be needed and appreciated.
The flu vaccine has arrived and is available for faculty and staff. There will be a
$1. 00 charge for this shot but there will be only one shot necessary this year for
both types of flu.
Faculty Schedule Cards should be returned to Dean Chauvin's Office.
Student rosters may be picked up in the Registrar's Office.
