H. Graves Edmondson will undergo surgery Monday morning, December 10, 1973, at Florida
Hospital and Sanitarium, Orlando, for the purpose of replacing a congenitally weak valve in his
heart. Graves has undergone extensive exploratory examination which shows that there is no
arterial or heart tissue complications to be dealt with other than the actual replacing of the
valve. The physicians estimate two to three weeks hospitalization and then four to five weeks
before complete recuperation. I am certain that all of us at Stetson will keep Graves, Gloria
and their children in our thoughts and prayers during this period.

Notice to all Instructors of 1974 Winter Term Courses: Preregistration enrollment figures
indicate that in a few courses more students may have been admitted than the maximum listed
by the instructor. Please check with the Registrar's Office to see whether such is the case.
If an overload cannot be tolerated, please inform the Registrar promptly of the necessary
corrections.
Examinations are not to be given early except by special permission. Please do not place your
colleagues in an embarrassing situation by scheduling yours early.
Mr. Rob Inglis, who delighted us with an evening performance of Chaucer, two years ago, will
be presenting an Ecological Fantasia using multi-media, and audience participation, at Stover
Theatre at 8:00 p. m. , December 11, sponsored by the Artists and Lecturers Committee.
Faculty and students have preference, using I. D. cards until 7:45 p. m. ; public will be
admitted after that time. Please make this announcement to all your classes.
Dr. T. A. Lick will have a paper published in the December issue of Physical Review, entitled
"Electric Dipole Resonance and Echoes of Pr Ions. "
Mr. Ronald Baugh, of the Speech and Theatre Department, has an article which will be
appearing in the Alabama Speech and Theatre Journal entitled "Forensic and Debate in the
United States. "
Also, Mr. Baugh has been named Chairman of the Intercollegiate Peace Speech Association
for Florida for 1973 - 1974.
