Important Notice: There will be a meeting of the faculty of the College of Liberal Arts
at 7:00 p. m. , Thursday, March 29, in the Stetson Room for the purpose of discussing the
Winter Term.
Fall Schedules should be turned in to the Registrar's Office not later than March 16.
Chapel on Wednesday, February 21, will feature the Faculty Consort and dramatic readings
by a group of students under the direction of Mrs. Marjorie Gilbert. Members of the Faculty
Consort who will present musical selections are Mr. and Mrs. William Martin, Mr. Paul
Jenkins and Mr. Tom Shaw.
A REMINDER! The English Department will honor Dr. Byron Gibson and Mrs. Virginia
Giffin on the occasion of their retirement at a reception in the Faculty Lounge of the Carlton
Union Building on February 23 at 5:00 p. m. All are encouraged to join in this opportunity
to honor Mrs. Giffin and Dr. Gibson for their life-long dedication to higher education and to
the DeLand community.
It hardly seems possible that nearly two years have passed since we re-wrote our University
catalog-bulletin; but that is the case, and now it is time to think about a new one, for 1974-
1976.
We would like to have your suggestions for changes; send them to Dr. Langford, Box 1305, at
any time, please. He keeps a continuing file of catalog material.
Much of the catalog work will be done next summer, 1973. The whole package must be ready
to send to printers for bids by October 30, 1973, and we need to have the finished catalog in
hand in the Admissions Office, ready for distribution, by April 1, 1974.
This timetable means that any changes to be incorporated in the 1974-1976 catalog must be
received by Dr. Langford no later than October 23, 1973.
We are grateful for your past helpfulness and look forward to the same good response this
year.
