Important Notice: There will be a meeting of the faculty of the College of L iberal Arts at
7:00 p. m. , Thursday, March 29, in the Stetson Room for the purpose of discussing the
Winter Term .
PHI ALPHA THETA NATIONAL HISTORY HONORARY: The statewide meeting of Phi Alpha
TMieta will be held in the Carlton Union Building this Saturday, March 3. Faculty members
are welcome to attend the sessions, which will consist of the reading of papers. There is a
charge of $2. 50 for the luncheon where Donald Hoffman, International Secretary-Treasurer
will deliver an address, "The Politican Looks to the Historian. " Sessions begin at 10:00 a. m.
and continue to 3:30 p. m. ^ ^^^
Congratulations to Dr. Bradford Crain. After months of prodding, he has finally responded
and completed his Ph. D. degree at Harvard University. We will now expect, of course, scores
of publications.
The following students were absent from classes from 1:30 p. m. on March 1, to participate
in a tennis match with Embry Riddle: Mike Lenahan; Pete Kuchar; Scott Ferguson; Fred Hays;
Richard Martin; Steve Frates; Jesse Thompson; Lee Shannon.
The following students were absent from classes Wednesday, February 27 through March 3,
to attend the Southeast Theatre Conference at Pensacola: Don Elwell; Ann Rothermel; Buss
Smith.
The following students were absent Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3, to attend the same
conference: Allen Enlow; Robert Webster.
