There will be a meeting of the General Faculty on Wednesday, May 16, in Davis Hall, at
7:30 p. m.
A number of complaints from students and faculty have been registered with the administration
concerning faculty members who give final examinations during class time of the last week of
the session. President Johns requests, therefore, that examinations be given in the exami-
nation period only and that no one administer examinations before that time.
Reminder: Thursday, May 24, 8:00 a. m. , is the deadline for senior grades to be in the
Registrar's office. It would be most helpful if your senior grades could be submitted Wednesda
afternoon, if possible. Your cooperation in this matter is earnestly solicited. Please do no?
leave town before these grades are in the Registrar's hands.
The Education Department is sponsoring a one-day workshop designed for teachers of educable
mentally retarded children in their studies of life science. It will be held Friday, May 11, in
Rooms 204-205 C. U. B. , from 9:00 a. m. to 4:00 p. m. Dr. James Whorten, Professor of
Special Education in the University of Florida will conduct the workshop. Faculty members
interested in attending should call Mrs. Ruth Arnold in the Education Department.
To Department Chairmen and Budget Supervisors: All requisitions for purchase orders for the
1972-73 fiscal year should now have been approved and purchase orders issued. Please keep
your record of any unfilled orders current so that on or immediately after Monday, May 21, yo*.
can consult with the Purchasing Agent, Mr. Johnson, at Extension 472 regarding any invoices
which you have not received and approved for 1972-73 business. Your assistance will be most
helpful to us and to you in being certain that all of your purchases are charged to the proper
year's budget.
