Parents' Weekend is scheduled for March 16, 17, 18, and various events are scheduled for
parent-faculty meetings. Parents sometimes attend only to talk with you about their sons and
daughters. Every year parents seek out some professors in particular and invariably they are
the ones who are absent. Hence, this year we are requesting all faculty to be present at the
.President's home from 8:30 - 10:00 a. m. , Saturday, March 17. We are requesting also that
all faculty members maintain office hours between 1:30 and 3:30 p. m. , Saturday. The President
will announce the open house-open office period during the morning session. Thank you.
The last day to drop a course has now passed (March 9). Please send no students in with such a
request because we cannot drop anyone from a course now.
Reminder to Department Heads: Fall schedules are due in the Registrar's Office on Friday,
March 16. Thank you.
Important Notice: There will be a meeting of the faculty of the College of Liberal Arts at
7:00 p. m. , Thursday, March 29, in the Stetson Room for the purpose of discussing the Winter
Term.
A limited number of tickets are available for the performance of the Paul Winter Consort, on
Monday, March 12, at 8:00 p. m. You may pick them up in either the Dean of Women's Office
or in the Dean of Men's Office.
Reminder: Open Forum Faculty Meeting called by Faculty Senate for Thursday, March 15, at
7:00 p. m. , in the Stetson Room.
The following faculty in the Department of Biology were off campus on Friday, March 9, to
participate as judges in the regional Science Fair at Daytona Beach Community College:
Miss Dorothy Fuller; Dr. David Stock; Dr. F. M. Knapp.
Dr. Keith Hansen and Dr. David Stock of the Biology Department were appointed to the Executive
Board of the Spruce Creek Preservation Committee, headed by State Senator Gillespie.
