SUMMER OFFICE HOURS: Will be effective Monday, May 28 through August 31, 1973:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a. m. to Noon
1:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m.
These hours are for the entire University and are to be observed by all full-time administrative
personnel. Substitute schedules approved in advance in writing by the appropriate Dean and/or
the Business Manager will be necessary.

HOLIDAYS: Classes will be in session on Wednesday, July 4. Registration for the Fall
Semester will be on Monday, September 3 (Labor Day). Therefore, substitute holidays will
be observed on Friday, August 17 and Friday August 24. Please note these dates on your
calendars.

Faculty Tuition Plan: Stetson has withdrawn officially from the Faculty Tuition Plan, but
has five semester credits remaining against other colleges participating in the plan. If
faculty members have dependents interested in attending other universities they should
check with the Director of Student Financial Aid to determine the locations of openings for
next year, Fall of 1973.
Dr. William Johnson of the English Department has just received word that his paper "Art
as Discovery: The Aesthetics of Consolation in Chaucer's Book of the Duchess " has been
accepted for presentation at the South Atlantic Modern Language Association conference in
November.
Dr. William E. Taylor of the English Department has recently been engaged to read a paper
and participate in a panel discussion of Shakespeare's comedies at the South Atlantic Modern
Language Association conference in November.
A Reminder: The Bookstore will be closed for inventory the week of May 27, 1973. During
this time no business may be conducted because of auditor requirements. The store will
re-open for business on Monday, June 4, 1973, at approximately 1:00 p. m. , or as soon
as the auditors complete their examination.
