IMPORTANT NOTICE: There will be a meeting of all faculty advisers at 10:00 a. m. , Monday,
May 30, in Room 5 - L.
The University Woman's Club is very sorry to have to cancel the program and dinner for
April 27. The Jazz Ensemble, sponsored by Artists and Lecturers Committee, will be unable
to make their date in Elizabeth Hall.
Dean George Borders and Mr. Lee Rowell received their Ph. D. degrees on May 23, at the
University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. Dean Borders' studies related to Student
Personnel Work in Higher Education, and Mr. Rowell's doctoral program centered on Higher
Education Administration.
The Annual Mortar Board Women's Leadership Dinner will be held Thursday, May 10, at
6:00 p. m. in the Stetson Room. All faculty administrative officers (and wives or husbands)
are cordially invited. Dr. Ann Morris will be the speaker. Reservations may be made in the
Dean of Women's Office. ($2.00 each).
The regular meeting of the Faculty Senate is scheduled for Tuesday, May 1, in the Private
Dining Room. Dinner is at 6:00 p. m. , and business is at 6:45 p. m. I have a standing
reservation for the following: Dr. Coolidge, Mr. Feasel, Dr. Fox, Dr. Horton, Dr. Lovelace,
Dr. Lycan, Dr. Minter, Dr. Morris, and Miss Patterson. If your name is not on this list,
and you want a reservation for dinner, please call Extension 246 or 330, before noon on Monday,
April 30.

The Danforth Associates on the Stetson campus have announced that they will award three prizes
for the best student-originated ideas for remodeling a classroom. One prize of $50. 00 will ill
be awarded for the best suggestion which costs less than $250.00. A second prize of $50.00 wil
be awarded for a design which will cost between $250. 00 and $500. 00. A third prize
of $50. 00 will be awarded for a classroom renovation costing between $500. 00 and $1, 000. 00.
