The Comptroller's Office and Purchasing Department will be closed the afternoon of
December 27, 1972 from 1:00 p. m. - 4:30 p. m., for the purpose of developing a
University Systems Manual. Please let us have your requests for Comptroller's Office
and Purchasing Department support by noon on December 27.
The below named ROTC cadets were absent from the University on the dates indicated for
the purpose of having final-type physical examinations accomplished at AFEES, Jacksonville,
Florida. December 5: Harry M. Church; Bruce W. Frechette; Peter W. Gibbons; David
P. Hoadley; Thomas D. McDermott; John W„ Oakley; David H. Popper; John R. Fleming.
December 6: John T. Lackman; Paul D. Perkins; Brian L. Schwebke; Alan J. Williamson;
William J. Wright.
Stetson has received an invitation to participate in the Southeastern College Bowl, sponsored
by Georgia Southwestern College,, Last year the invitation was referred to the Phi Society,
which sent a team that placed second in the event. This year the Phi Society has been unable
to find interested members that are willing to participate, and it would like to request that the
faculty members suggest the event, which is scheduled for February 1 and February 2, 1973,
to some of their better students. Hopefully, our participation could be financed by the SGA,
so there should be no expense involved. If you know of any interested students, would you
please contact Larry Bandy, Box 903, Campus.
Dr. and Mrs. John L. Hodges will have a White Christmas in their seventh floor apartment,
next-door to St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, Austria. Their mailing address is;
