The following students were absent from 1:00 p. m. on Thursday, January 11, and all day on
Friday, January 12. They attended a Debate and Forensic Tournament at Panama City: Cindy
Horton; Sandy Blankenburg; Cora Beal; Judy Clayton; Tammy Williams; John Fleming;
Mike Duduit. _____
The Stetson University Credit Union will have its annual meeting on January 24, 1973, at
3:30 p. m. in Room 204 - 205, Carlton Union Building. All members are urged to attend and to
participate in the business affairs of the Credit Union.
The following students competed in an archery tournament at L. S. U. in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana, Friday, January 12 through January 15: Bill Van Marter; Bill Voges; Bill
Hall; Jim Giles; Ann Osborne; Tina Reed; Betty Smith; Karen Ziegler.
Thank you for your cooperation in recent days during a period of unusual personnel shortage in
the University Post Office. It is necessary due to the sharp reduction in the number of eligible
student workers to eliminate the morning mail delivery schedule. Departments and individuals
are requested to continue picking up mail from their boxes after 10:00 a. m. at their convenience.
Afternoon departmental pick ups are continuing between 3:30 and 4:00 p. m. All U. S. mail
must be at the University Post Office by 4:15 p. m. in order to meet U. S. Postal Service
dispatch schedules.

Dr. Gerald E. Critoph has been elected representative of the Southeastern American Studies
chapter to the Executive Council of the American Studies Association. His term began on
January 1.
